We’re delighted to announce that we have been named ‘International Business of the Year’ for 2020, by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Set up over 45 years ago, the FSB is a non-profit and non-political party organisation, with the purpose of championing small businesses and helping its members succeed. They are actively involved in working with both national and local governments to deliver beneficial change for small businesses throughout the United Kingdom. The yearly awards help champion the best smaller businesses in the country.

The ‘International Business of the Year’ is awarded to a business that best demonstrates how working internationally has benefited their business profitability, growth and strategy.

The English Soap Company now manufactures and exports a range of products to every continent apart from Antarctica, with all production taking place from our factory near Heathfield in rural East Sussex.

Our MD Oliver Butts said: “We are all absolutely delighted to have won this International Business of the Year 2020 award and receive this type of recognition. The team has worked incredibly hard with the help of the Department for Trade and Industry to expand our overseas customer base, market our brand and build our reputation around the globe.

“It has been very challenging during the pandemic with not being able to travel, but we have managed to adapt and introduce new products such as scented hand sanitisers to the range which have proved extremely popular.”
